Montelupo

“Mons Lupus”, “wolf’s mount”, is the way this town is called in a document from the thirteenth century: in the many woods that surrounded it back then there were many wolves.

Today the town is characterized by a beautiful landscape over Alba and the Barolo vineyards.

The patronal fair dedicated to san Bonaventura is held on the penultimate Sunday in July, while in September there’s the fair dedicated to the Virgin in the little church of Oriolo.
