Church of Divin Maestro

From the Darkness into the Light  is the artwork by Gabriella Siciliano which she was commissioned by the Church Divin Maestro in Alba and supported by the parishioners and Curia.

Born and based in Gallarate, the artist has used the technique of painting on wood to produce the decoration of the church’s altar.

As the title of the artwork evokes, also the technique used to paint had to follow a process of developing layers of colours, from the darker to the lighter shades. The resulting effect is truly captivating.

Gabriella Siciliano is such a sensitive and energetic artist who, by using structure of colours, is able to reach out to the viewer’s deepest emotions.

She has exhibited in Italy and abroad, not to mention her solo exhibition at Cantine Gemma in Serralunga d’Alba in June 2011.
