Sinio
The town’s houses are gathered around the parish churchand the ruins of the castle, once owned by the marquis Del Carretto di Monforte and later by the the count Vassallo di Costigliole.
The church, like many others in the Langhe, was designed by the architect Rangone and built in 1700.
It’s dedicated to saint Frontinian, and interesting is also the fraternity of the Battuti, now a multifunctional center.
Sinio is famous for its torrone-making firms. The fair, dedicated to the patron, is held on the second Sunday in August.
