What is home, really? Is it a place, a memory, a person, or a state of the soul?

Sirene is a performative and participatory journey that explores the concept of nostos, the homecoming, from a contemporary and deeply human perspective.

Led by Sara Vilardo, the audience walks through the city wearing headphones and a dedicated kit, immersing themselves in a soundscape made of music, poetry, stories, and suggestions that intertwine with the real sounds of the places they pass through.

Freely inspired by the Odyssey, the performance transforms streets, squares, courtyards, and urban passages into stages of a journey of transformation. The obstacles encountered by Ulysses become metaphors for the inner challenges that every individual faces in the search for themselves and their own sense of belonging.

Through rituals, shared actions, and moments of listening, the audience is invited to live an experience that is both intimate and collective, where the city transforms into an emotional landscape and the search for home coincides with the search for one’s own identity.

Mirabilia “On the Road” arrives in Busca from July 2 to 5 with contemporary circus shows, dance, urban theater, and performing arts.
