The rural origins of the Marrone family are originally from Cascina Carlot, in the hamlet of Madonna di Como, in the town of Alba.
The Azienda Agricola farmhouse today is in La Morra. You can visit the Company and taste the wines it produces among the UNESCO heritage hills, and their breathtaking views
Denise, Serena and Valentina represent the fourth generation. They work alongside dad Gian Piero and mom Giovanna in hosting and managing the company which was founded in 1957 by their great grandfather Pietro.
Among the many labels you can taste, the Barolo DOCG is the pride of the winery. The Pichemej version represents the production’s crown jewel where the best grapes from the best vineyards are used.
Among the whites, the Langhe Doc Tre Fie stands out as a versatile wine, fresh and excellent throughout the entire meal. To be tried with seafood.
Visit to the Winery
The company is located in the hamlet of Annunziata and is easily accessible.
Visitors are greeted directly by the owners and led to the discovery of the vineyards and the production, in a setting that preserves the essence of the most authentic Langa culture.
The choice of building materials, the architecture of the interiors and the raised glass platforms with visible barrels will allow you to soak in the Company completely.
Everything has been studied in detail so as to place the focus on the wine and the landscape.
The visit begins with a brief explanation of the history of the winery and the family followed by an aperitif on the terrace.
The sight of the hills is unique in any period throughout the year, especially in autumn. One can see 11 castles, the contours of the surrounding towns and the nearby Libano’s Cedar, which is 160 years old.
The visit then continues on to the aging rooms amongst alternating oak , barrique and steel barrels.
The tasting room is large and bright and it is here that Denise serves and presents the various labels.
You can choose between simple combinations: wine and appetizers with local cheese and salami, or fuller meals: appetizers, pasta and seconds prepared in the winery’s kitchen.

Two types of tasting are available:
- € 29,00 / per person – duration 2 h – five wines accompanied by: two traditional Piedmont starters and tasting of cold cuts, local cheeses with cugnà sauce, sweets
- € 35,00 / per person – duration 3 h – six wines accompanied by: two traditional Piedmont starters, and tasting of cold cuts, typical pasta from the Langhe, local cheeses with cugnà sauce, sweets
Full meals and special proposals are available upon request.
The tastings take place in the cellar and are usually led by Denise, an AIS professional sommelier, as are Serena and Valentina.
We recommend you bring along a sweater and shoes for the outdoors.
You can book gluten-free products for a tasting that is suitable for people suffering from celiac disease.
The winery can accommodate large groups of up to 80 people.
