The Bela Trifolera was born and raised in Alba, an event paired with the parade of allegorical floats from the villages of the Langhe and Roero.
It was a unique event in Italy during the post-war years, when its novelty garnered widespread acclaim and made the light of Alba shine bright, an event that remains incredibly popular today during the Truffle Fair.
During the evening, the contestants, who are nominated by each individual district, will take to the catwalk in medieval costume, as a Trifolera, and in evening wear.
