In May 2019, Mondodelvino SpA inaugurated at its Priocca headquarters the Wine Experience by Mondodelvino, a futuristic interactive and experiential space on wine culture open to everyone.

A journey that leads visitors through history, territories, grape varieties, methods, but also sensory experience and wine-food pairings thanks to interactive screens and educational games to discover that wine is not only nature, but also culture, experience, tradition and innovation.

500 square meters of exhibition space welcome you to tell you about wine like you’ve never seen it before, in a fun and surprising journey made of large screens, videos, tables and interactive totems, games, video mapping, sensory and visual experiences to enter the world of aromas and pairings with foods and recipes, interacting with virtual chefs and sommeliers.

But the experience doesn’t end here: you can also book tastings and workshops, under the expert guidance of sommeliers!

History

Mondodelvino Wine Experience

Mondodelvino SpA was established in 2013 as a holding company for a group of wineries, but its story begins in 1991 in Forlì with the founding of MGM Mondo del Vino Srl.

In 2002, MGM arrived in Priocca, thus including the production of classic Piedmontese wines, to which were later added the sparkling wines of the Cuvage winery in Acqui Terme and the wines of the Ricossa winery – Tenuta Ca' dei Mandorli in Castel Boglione in the heart of Monferrato.

The group's wineries are distinguished by their high-quality, prestigious wines, the attention they dedicate to their territories, and for having created cutting-edge facilities that demonstrate their commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Mondodelvino SPA as we know it today was born from the pioneering vision of Alfeo Martini, Roger Gabb, and Christoph Mack, oenologists and experts in the wine sector, whose meeting gave rise to an innovative way of producing and marketing quality Italian wine.

The Rooms

The visit includes the entire interactive journey and the final tasting, to put into practice what you've just learned.

A fun way to learn and experience firsthand the concepts and sensations encountered in interactive form during the journey.

By choosing one of the three types of tasting offered, you can taste the wines and be the guide of your own senses, seeking out the aromas typical of the grape varieties, recognizing their color and notes on the palate.

The three types are as follows:

Silver → 1 glass, €10 per person
Gold → 3 glasses, €20 per person
Platinum → 5 glasses, €25 per person

Certifications

The wine museum is a Mondodelvino project and maintains the same high standards, proven by the certifications obtained.

Quality is a fundamental part of this vision, and the group boasts a series of certifications that meet national and international standards in all phases of production, from cultivation to bottling, from marketing to packaging to distribution.

The quality certifications are linked to those of social sustainability, safety, and environmental and economic ethics.

Among the main certifications obtained are ISO 14001:2015, an international standard that establishes the requirements of an environmental management system, and SA 8000:2014, which establishes the highest level of compliance for business partners and measures the company’s ethical degree and social responsibility, based on the principles set forth by international references on human and workers’ rights.

Local wines that reflect the terroir

Mondodelvino's particular attention to the territory allows museum visitors to appreciate wines that strongly evoke in taste and aroma the areas where they originate, with their tradition of grape varieties, terroir, and production methods.
