Poderi Vaiot is a family-run business, now in its third generation and led by Daniele and Walter Casetta.
Roero Arneis, Roero, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Val del Moro Spumante and Nebbiolo d’Alba Spumante Rosé are wines produced from a careful selection of the grapes that you will discover when you reach the winery in the township Laione.
The place is that of the Sanctuary of the Pylons, one of the most famous scenic areas of the Roero.
The site of great naturalistic and hiking interest, dating back to the Roman age, is composed of a Romanesque church, the Grotta dell’Agonia, thirteen chapels dedicated to the Via Crucis and the S.Sepolcro.
Poderi Vaiot produces DOC and DOCG wines typical of Roero, of which the value starts from the work in the vineyard.
They range from fresh wines such as Roero Arneis, to the structure of Roero DOCG, Barbera d’Alba and Nebbiolo d’Alba.
The reds go well with meat dishes, roasts, grilled meat and stews and cheeses.
Roero Arneis is produced both in the classic version and in the sparkling version, taking the name of Val del Moro.
The latter, produced with Arneis grapes, is a wine with a strong appeal today, excellent as an aperitif or for a whole meal.
Sublime the combination with raw or grilled shellfish or with an oyster plateau.
The woods used to build the barrels are all derived from local and owned plants.
Three different woods for three different reds: oak for Roero, cherry for Nebbiolo and apricot wood for the interior of the tub that houses the Barbera.

Your experience at the winery
The new tasting room on two floors accommodates up to 50 people.
The experience includes: walk in the vineyard, visit to the cellar, tasting of 6 wines of your choice, breadsticks, salami, small tasting of local and seasonal products.
Cost per person: starting from € 15.00
During the stay in the Cellar, responsible behavior is required respecting the manufacturer and any other visitors.

The vineyard herbs in the kitchen, aromas to create powerful dishes
Supported by a trusted agronomist, Poderi Vaiot produces DOC and DOCG wines in full respect of nature, those who work in the vineyard and the consumer.
Many aromatic herbs grow in their own vineyards, such as: savory, white parsley, tansy, wild chicory, mallow, wild mint.
These aromas, used in the kitchen in the preparation of dishes and combined with awareness, create winning combinations.
Serving a glass of Spumante Val del Moro with a salmon dish flavored with savory is undoubtedly a winning combination, just as the risotto with mauve goes well with the taste of Barbera d’Alba.
