Poderi Vaiot winery visit and tasting

4 Wines + Local Products

Together with Daniele and Walter, you can learn about the history of Poderi Vaiot and discover how the great wines of Roero are produced. The winery is located in Montà in the Laione hamlet, one of the most famous panoramic areas of Roero, home to the Santuario dei Piloni.

Poderi Vaiot is a family-run business, now in its third generation and led by Daniele Casetta.

Tasting and winery visit

The visit, if you wish, begins with a walk through the rows of vines.

Looking around, you can immediately see that the winery produces wines with full respect for nature: many aromatic herbs grow wild between the rows, which Daniele and Walter use to flavor their own meals.

After the walk, we move into the cellar. Here, the owners are ready to explain the winemaking techniques and production of their labels, all typically from the Roero region.

These range from fresh wines like Roero Arneis to the structure of Roero DOCG, Barbera d’Alba DOC, and Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC.

The Arneis grapes also provide the winery’s gem: a Classic Method Sparkling Wine, which Daniele and Walter have named Val del Moro.

Following the winery tour, there is a tasting of four wines produced by the estate.

Everything takes place in the cozy tasting room arranged over two floors, which can accommodate up to 50 people.

The wines are always accompanied by grissini, salami, and a small tasting of seasonal local products.

LANGUAGES: the visit is available in Italian, English, and French.

Poderi Vaiot, a family-run winery where Daniele and his son Edoardo share the same passion for the land and wine, is located in Montà. Together, they proudly carry on a family legacy always focused on excellence.

Deeply rooted in the land, the winery produces wines that are faithful expressions of this unique landscape, carefully respecting localidentity and traditions.
