The parish church of San Giorgio Scarampi

in San Giorgio Scarampi

On the sandstone architrave of the parish church’s portal, built in 1645, there’s a bizarre bas-relief representing saint George on a horse, dressed with spanish-style clothes. In the sacresty there’s a wonderful buhl wood closet.

In 1631 Giovanni Crosio da Trino made and signed his eight frescoed panels: they’re placed beside the altar of the Virgin, and represent moments in Jesus’s life.

The rest of the walls and the vault has been painted by Ivaldi di Toleto, called “the mute”, around 1870.
