Rebuilt inthe Eighteenth century in the present baroque style, the S. Bernardino church still has inside some beautiful paintings and a wooden Crucifix.
People used to believe that Jesus’ hair was real and grew rapidly before difficult years; in the magical atmosphere created by these beliefs, the crucifix was held in procession every year throught the vineyards he was asked to protect.
