The most extraordinary stories often brush past us without our noticing. Small, fragile, hidden among things that seem worthless. What Am I Doing Here – On Stage is born from this search for the invisible: from the need to restore voice and presence to those who have remained on the
margins.

Theater allows what television cannot always do: amplify emotions, give body to memories, share the gaze upon those left behind.

And while already familiar stories return with new intensity, the show continues to transform. New materials, new testimonies, new lives gathered during fieldwork become part of the theatrical narrative, making What Am I Doing Here – On Stage a story in constant evolution.

A living organism that follows the author’s journey and presents it each time in a different form.

On stage the journalist sheds television’s rhythms and finds another pace: more human, more vulnerable, closer to the lives encountered. The investigations cease to be merely reportage and become encounters that reveal themselves in their entirety, bringing forth emotions, silences, contradictions, unresolved questions.

While images open visual glimpses, words expand emotional perception, and theater becomes a space of civic consciousness: it mends denied rights, submerged fragilities, truths left unheard.

Eleven years of Through Festival!

An important milestone, telling the story of a journey made of encounters, territories and culture.

Eleven years of building the most widespread of all Piedmont festivals, consisting of a network of events that extends for over 200 km and unites three provinces – Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo – and wonderful and diverse territories from the Alps to the Piedmont Apennines through Langhe, Roero, Monferrato.

Areas united by breathtaking landscapes, unique traditions and food and wine heritage, but which had never really found a point of connection.

Through Festival, with the simple power of a beautiful show in a special place on a summer evening, has been able to bridge this distance, creating a new bond in these lands, making them a great community for this occasion.
