On the outskirts of Albaretto della Torre stands the Church of Sant’Antonino, one of the oldest and most representative places in the village. It was the parish church of the town throughout the Middle Ages and until the end of the seventeenth century, when it was replaced by the larger church of San Sebastiano.
Today it retains the discreet charm of a place that tells the story of the community through its simple architecture and the different phases that have marked its evolution.
Interiors
The interior has a single nave with apse, divided into two bays covered by barrel vaults. The masonry pilasters mark out the walls and support the vault, giving rhythm and harmony to the space.
Exteriors
The façade is characterized by vertical pilaster strips that support the central pediment, tall arched windows and a simple cornice above the entrance. These elements are the result of interventions carried out in the mid-nineteenth century, while the bell chamber is compatible with a seventeenth-century dating.
