The sunset over the hills of Alba and the endless White Night

Terre Alte offers you a pleasant afternoon hike in the hills behind the historic center to admire the landscape and the city, wrapped in the warm light of a late summer sunset.
And at the end, the longest and most awaited night of the Alba summer awaits you.
The excursion will start from the locality Pertinace, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Alba whose name recalls the territory that gave birth to the Emperor Publius Helvius Pertinax.
Places whose history is rooted in the distant past when the area was crossed by a Roman road.
We will reach the most striking viewpoints from which we can observe the town, medieval towers and bell towers, the Tanaro River, on the opposite side the Roero hills and behind us the fine Barbaresco areas.
We will return to Pertinace along a pleasant path that runs alongside the course of the Seno d’Elvio and crosses a small but picturesque strip of forest.
At the end those who wish can participate in the event “Until Dawn” the longest and most awaited night of the summer in Alba, five squares, five unique spaces to have fun with animations and concerts.
The route passes through the places narrated by Beppe Fenoglio in his work “Una Questione Privata.”

Meet at 16:00 at Strada Pertinace 27 Barbaresco (Cn) c/o Bar.
Departure 4:15 pm.
Duration 3 hours, with explanations and stops at scenic spots.

Trail length Km 9 approx. Height difference mt 395 Excursion of great interest: scenic, naturalistic and historical. Excursion led by environmental hiking guide AIGAE, Piedmont Region with in-depth study of the area. Appropriate clothing and footwear are recommended.
