Hills of...Wines. The path of aromas on the Langa del Barolo

A walk in good company. Landscapes, emotions and scents of spring in the hills of grand wines.

We will start from the village of Novello, a town of 1,000 inhabitants that, from the height of its 471 m, dominates the Unesco Core Zone and savor the magical spring atmosphere when the vines are covered in buds.

The best sun-exposed slopes of the rolling hills are the natural cradle of the vine, which expresses itself in this area with the production of high quality grapes from which wines rich in sensations are derived.

We will walk the paths through neatly combed vineyards that yield fine traditional wines such as Barolo and the recovered Nas-cetta with aromatic characteristics reminiscent of white flowers, acacia honey, citrus and herbs.

We will reach the scenic locality of San Pietro Le Viole: from the 14th-century chapel of San Pietro there is a beautiful view: in the distance Serralunga, Grinzane, and nearby, just below, Barolo, castles and vineyards, almost three hundred and sixty degrees.

The route will touch on the site of the legendary and bewitched Castello della Volta , of which we will discover stories and secrets, and the picturesque historic village of Barolo characterized by the bulk of the castle that belonged to the Marquis Falletti di Barolo.

The Wine: the Nas-cetta and the great reds

Upon returning to Novello at the Cantina Comunale, a beautiful scenic location with a dehor, it is possible to taste, guided by an expert, wine from local producers.

Recommended for cheerful people, companies of friends, families with children 7 and older (used to walking), singles and singles, couples…..and anyone who wants to spend a day outdoors, in good company and admire beautiful views!
