In 2026 Italy will celebrate its patron saint, “the most Italian of saints”: Saint Francis, who died 800 years ago.

Aldo Cazzullo and Angelo Branduardi tell the story of the saint, or rather the stories. The Saint Francis of devotion: the wolf, the sermon to the birds, the stigmata.

The Saint Francis of history: the conversion, the renunciation, the relationship with the Pope, the founding of the order, the crusade, the meeting with the sultan.

The Saint Francis the poet: the Canticle of the Creatures.

The great Franciscans, from the tertiaries – Dante, Columbus – to the saints: Saint Anthony, Padre Pio. Up to the first Pope called Francis.

Through words, music, images, the figure of a marvelous saint returns, and a precious piece of Italian identity is reconstructed.

Undici anni di Attraverso Festival!

An important milestone, telling the story of a journey made of encounters, territories and culture.

Eleven years of building the most widespread of all Piedmont festivals, consisting of a network of events that extends for over 200 km and unites three provinces – Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo – and wonderful and diverse territories from the Alps to the Piedmont Apennines through Langhe, Roero, Monferrato.

Areas united by breathtaking landscapes, unique traditions and food and wine heritage, but which had never really found a point of connection.

Attraverso Festival, con la forza semplice di un bello spettacolo in un luogo speciale in una sera d’estate, ha saputo colmare questa distanza, creando un legame nuovo in queste terre, rendendole per questa occasione una grande comunità.
