Perhaps it is because the Christmas season always seems too short, or perhaps it is the warmth of childhood memories that makes us appreciate the holiday spirit, but every year we find ourselves reliving the same beloved traditions.
We devote ourselves to buying gifts for our loved ones, soaking in the city streets adorned with twinkling lights, being enchanted by the Christmas markets, and sometimes indulging in visiting the atmospheric nativity scenes.
To preserve these cherished routines of ours, we would like to support you in making the most of these experiences again this season by offering a selection of must-see events.
Nativity scenes
There are so many nativity scenes in the area, and if you are an enthusiast or have children, you could visit them all and play at comparing the differences.
Each setup has its own style and is a work of art.
Some actors stage the nativity accompanied by fragments of life from the past, nativity scenes from different parts of the world, others created by schoolchildren using original techniques or by residents of retirement homes.
There is something for everyone, and monotony is not contemplated.

Wineries open their doors
If you are a fan of good wine and perhaps want to stock your cellar to prepare for the compilation of lunches and dinners to come, combine the useful with the enjoyable and head out for a winery visit.
You will chat with the producer, who will let you taste his labels and tell you their story.
When you put purchased wines on the table for your guests, not only will they appreciate their goodness, but you will also have a good conversation starter to share what those who made them have taught you.

The New Year’s Eve concert in Alba
In the evocative Church of San Domenico, a feather in the cap of Alba and the Unesco territory, the Alba Music Festival New Year’s Concert returns, now in its 16th edition and established over time as one of the most anticipated events of the beginning of the year in Piedmont.
The Orchestra Classica di Alessandria conducted by Andrea Oddone will perform. Also on stage will be pianist Andrea Bacchetti, a darling of the Alba audience, who has just been joined by a Nomination for the International Classical Music Awards.
