Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba Superiore DOCG

The concentrical Diano d’Alba district is located on a hilltop which is among the highest in the Langhe zone, where the dolcetto grape has been able to carve out an important space, dominating the best exposed slopes.
Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba can be presented as the Superiore type after aging for 18 months.
The features of Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba or Diano d’Alba Superiore foresees that, on putting the product on the market, as from the 1st September of the year following the harvest, the wine must present the following characteristics:
Colour
Ruby red.
Bouquet
Winey and pleasantly characteristic.
Flavour
Dry, pleasantly almond-like, with moderate acidity, good body, and harmonious.
Minimum total alcoholic strength by volume: 12.5%;
Minimum total acidity: 4.5 per thousand;
Minimum non-reducing extract: 23 g/litre.
