Massucco Winery

Since the early 1900s, the Massucco family has been cultivating the vineyards surrounding its winery, from which come the grapes that give rise to some of Piedmont’s most important wines.

Since its origins, the winery’s activities have been focused on the quality of its wine, which is made from grapes grown on the 20 hectares owned by the Massucco family, without the use of GMO products and with the www.thegreenexperience.it certification for a rethought and sustainable “green” agriculture .

The wines that come out of the winery are among the most authentic and genuine witnesses to the culture of the Roero, elected a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Massucco, over the years, has been able to make the wine tradition of the area its own and offer it to the market, paying attention to consumer tastes, but always respecting the characteristics that DOC and DOCG designations require.

The winery produces red and white wines under the Massucco brand.

Among the labels offered by the winery are also several high-end sparkling wines and a special line of cru red wines that are derived from selected grapes through a process that involves choosing the best grapes in the vineyard followed by meticulous work in the cellar.

The continuous quest for excellence has led the Massucco family to experiment with new processing methods and technological solutions that can integrate with tradition. The result is wines that are distinguished by a harmony in aroma and flavor, recalling the best Piedmontese winemaking tradition.

Massucco wines were selected from Italian wines with the best value for money .

The Massucco company is an example of how a product that boasts centuries of history can be made contemporary by enhancing it and bringing it to the attention of an ever-widening public.

The chef: Marc Lanteri

Chef Marc Lanteri long since entered the circle of Michelin-starred chefs, was born in 1968 in Tenda, a small village just over the Piedmont border on the French side of the Roya Valley, where deeply rooted Italian origins live on.

His culinary path is determined from childhood, thanks to a mother who was a precious repository of the secrets of traditional cooking and a father, a wise devotee of the authenticity of the products of a territory rich and generous with first fruits.

Revealed at the Hotel School of Menton, Marc began an intense training course , working alongside some of the greatest interpreters of contemporary cuisine such as Alain Ducasse, Christian Morisset, Michel Rostang, Enzo Santin, Annie Feolde, and Paolo Teverini, who would draw profound guidelines in him and his style.

In 2004, with the brigade of Delle Antiche Contrade restaurant in the city of Cuneo, he was awarded the prestigious distinction and joined the Red Guide of Michelin Starred Chefs .

He subsequently inaugurated the Bulwark, his first restaurant in the city of Mondovi, which he pursues with determination and success until a unique opportunity presents itself and in the 2015 Marc Lanteri opens a new chapter in the enchanting location of the Grinzane Castle of Cavour, historic home of Count Benso di Cavour and for years now at the center of the international scene as the site of the World Alba White Truffle Auction.
