On the occasion of theAnniversary of the Liberation of Italy, on the afternoon of Thursday, April 25, guided tours offered by MuSa – Musei Saluzzo will take place in Castile, at the Museum of Prison Memory, in the rigor cells of the former Saluzzo prison .
The tour, with a strong emotional impact, will present the history of the Castile prison institution and focus on the relegation of anti-fascist prisoners.
At the end of the visit, the guide will accompany participants to the new spaces of the Castile dedicated to the Saluzzo twentieth century, discovering a living place of memory, exchange and sharing.
Meet at 3 p.m. at the Castiglia ticket office (Piazza Castello, 1).

MuSa – Musei di Saluzzo

Con l’acronimo MuSa (Musei Saluzzo) si indica la rete dei beni culturali di proprietà comunale che dal 2015 sono caratterizzati da una gestione unitaria affidata ad unico soggetto con il coordinamento degli uffici comunali: la Castiglia (con il Museo della Civiltà Cavalleresca, il Museo della Memoria Carceraria e l’Esposizione permanente di arte contemporanea IGAV), Casa Cavassa, la Pinacoteca Matteo Olivero con la Torre Civica e la Casa natale di Silvio Pellico. Mu.Sa è dunque un grande contenitore di luoghi, eventi, cultura, narrazioni e, soprattutto persone: l’obiettivo è infatti porre al centro di ogni attività ed iniziativa il visitatore con i suoi bisogni e le sue esigenze per offrire un’esperienza che possa lasciare un segno indelebile nella sua memoria cognitiva ed emotiva. Ogni anno viene proposto un variegato calendario di iniziative nella convinzione che ai musei ci si possa tornare più volte per visitarli e vederli sempre sotto nuovi aspetti.
