A Life for Art

The Manganum odv Association presents the A Life for Art award to the artist Lionello Morone.

A recognition dedicated to an artist who has made art a life choice, cultivating it with passion, talent, and dedication over the years.

The tenth edition of the “A Life for Art” Award pays tribute, this year, to an artist who has dedicated his path to painting, transforming emotions, sensitivity, and visions into works capable of telling a story and leaving a mark over time.

An award for passion, creativity, and a life lived through art.

Following the award presentation, a closing toast will be held.

The artist

Lionello Morone was born in Poirino in 1937 and lives and works in Sommariva Perno, painter and engraver.

Self-taught, he began painting after his studies with work tending toward the abstract, but over the years he has moved toward a more figurative approach, though not entirely.

Most of his engravings are in color, alternating with painting.

He has participated in many exhibitions, also showing in prestigious Italian galleries.

Lionello Morone’s work stands out through the pursuit of extreme simplicity of image, whose volume is rendered by an incidence of light that exalts and captures the very essence of the landscape at the moment of maximum compositional tension.
