Cà Neuva is a typical farmhouse that is well worth a visit. Sergio Abbona, the owner, and his wife Silvia, know how to convey their passion for wine and their work, welcoming visitors with great warmth.
The winery is located in Dogliani, one of the most characteristic spots in the Langhe, and spans an area of 10 hectares where the various vineyards, the cellar, the tasting room, the office, and the home are located.
The business started in 1924, but the Abbona family was already dedicated to viticulture toward the end of the 1800s, passing down the love for this craft to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gradual renovation over the years and the adoption of more modern and technological processing systems have made it possible to obtain select wines that are elegant and harmonious, without setting tradition aside.
he is the owner of the winery and will reveal the secrets of his trade.
The Wines
Dogliani is the winery's flagship wine.
Produced with Dolcetto grapes, it is an elegant but approachable red.
Dogliani Superiore is instead more structured and complex, with a spicy aroma and good acidity.
From the vineyards of Castiglione Falletto comes Barolo, characterized by great aging potential and its round, harmonious taste.
Another great red is a blend created in 2013 and dedicated to Grandpa Celso, the winery’s founder. Hence the name of this wine made from Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Cabernet: Excelso.
The other reds produced are Barbera, Nebbiolo, and a rosé, alongside the whites: Roero Arneis and Tre Matote, a Classic Method Sparkling Wine.

Experiences
Once you arrive at your destination, the view stretches across a landscape of rolling hills, entirely covered in vineyards.
We are outside the farmhouse, in a large colonial space that offers plenty of room for parking.
Silvia and Sergio await you for introductions and will lead you into the tavern room.
This is where the tasting of the winery’s wines takes place, accompanied by samples of local products and traditional dishes, for a true aperitivo in the cellar.
In a convivial atmosphere, Sergio tells the story of each label and highlights its organoleptic characteristics.
After the tasting, we move to the fermentation and aging room to discover the entire production process, which concludes with the bottling and labeling phases.
