Through an exclusive guided tour, you will be accompanied on a discovery of Carlo Pittara’s monumental canvas: the Fair of Saluzzo in 1600.
A colossal work of immense historical value, capable of restoring the deep memory of our territory through the parade of knights in costume, the realism of life-size animals, and the eternal backdrop of Monviso.
The second appointment is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, through the streets of Saluzzo, an urban trekking that starts from the lower part of the city and retraces the views and architectural elements painted by Pittara, a unique opportunity to relive the historic places of commerce and the market depicted in his canvas.
While the squares celebrate the traditional town Fair, the Castiglia (former internal chapel of the prison) reveals an art narrative of exceptional prestige with a guided tour in the rooms where the canvas is preserved.
