Cascina Bauci is a unique and evocative place nestled in the hills of the Langhe, in La Morra. More than just a winery, it is a center dedicated to artistic production, Mindfulness and experiential wellness.
Here, traditional tastings are transformed into immersive and rejuvenating experiences, offering a journey of reconnection with nature and with oneself. In addition to wine, Cascina Bauci offers meditative paths, creative workshops, holistic activities and moments of conviviality between art and food.
The project is the result of a meeting between Emanuele Buganza, a born winemaker, actor and puppeteer for RAI and international productions, and Marta Indra Di Giulio, Mindfulness teacher, social and community theater expert, taster and performer.
Together, we manage unconventional art spaces with performance art, theater and visual art activities.
Art and nature in continuous dialogue
Cascina Bauci is also an art residency that welcomes selected artists.
Names such as Matteo Raciti, Bruno Geda, Tonichina, Irene Von Dorigotti and Lorenzo Gianmario Galli have contributed to the creation of works that enrich the farmhouse, experimenting with different techniques and materials, but always with a common thread: the profound bond between human beings and nature.
Prominent among these installations is Matteo Raciti‘s Oltrecielo, a work that visitors can walk through and experience firsthand, becoming an integral part of the space that houses it.
Marta and Emanuele take care of hospitality and tastings together.
These activities aim to create authentic connections between people and nature through experiences centered on wine, art, mindfulness, and well-being.
Oltrecielo is a site-specific installation created by Matteo Raciti that seems to mirror Calvino’s description of Bauci, a flying, dreaming city, eternally floating in the clouds.
The Wines
Two interpretations of tradition: the elegance of classic Piedmont wines and a return to the origins of peasant viticulture
The wines offered at the winery are part of two different lines: Renato Buganza, the line that carries on the family winemaking tradition with organic and certified wines, and Radici e Filari, a biodynamic and natural production that rediscovers historic grape varieties and ancient techniques.
Renato Buganza: tradition par excellence
Renato has passed on his passion for viticulture to his son Emanuele, interweaving tradition, art and social commitment.
Renato Buganza wines represent the bond with the Langhe and Roero, celebrating conviviality and respect for nature.
Among the top labels is the Barolo DOCG, also from MGA Bricco delle Viole, an emblem of refinement, winner of the first category prize at Vinitaly Bio.
Roots and Rows: a return to origins
From the vineyards of the Gerbole and Garbianotto hills come Radici e Filari wines. Each bottle is the result of the recovery of rural traditions, the rediscovery of forgotten grape varieties and ancestral winemaking techniques, with full respect for the identity of the land.
Tradition is alive when each generation is able to reinterpret and add something new to what is pre-existing.
The bottles are distinguished by artistic labels and evocative names in Piedmontese dialect:
- Coclicò (poppy), peasant Arneis in orange wine version, made only by maceration, without filtrations, addition of selected yeasts or additives
- Sansussì, red without added sulfites
- La Matòta (maiden), classic Barbera d’Asti DOCG, without ageing in wood
- Svicc! (witty), Dolcetto DOC, an authentic expression of the grape variety
- Ribòte (revelry), Freisa d’Asti Superiore DOC, a classic of southern Piedmont
- ViV, lively and aromatic sparkling white
- La Giga, Langhe DOC Arneis, elegant and mineral white
A special place in this line is occupied by the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Risa, enriched with 15 percent gamay grapes, a variety present in the area before the phylloxera and which, thanks to the foresight of the Buganza family, still survives today in a few rows that are more than 90 years old.

Genuine wines with a fruity and balanced profile, telling a story of simplicity, deep roots, and harmony with nature.
Experiences
Cascina Bauci offers a unique experience in which art, nature and wine are the protagonists of the tale
Before entering the basement, an exploration of the outdoor spaces is a must.
The route in stages (a choice of two different difficulties, depending on slope) winds through the In Line of Hands vineyard, so named because it reflects the parallelism between the lines of hands, which tell unique stories, and the rows of vines, which trace evocative meditative paths.
The itinerary brings together art installations and works made entirely by hand, evoking the artisanal work of the vineyard. Every detail is designed to connect humans with nature in an authentic and profound way, hence the term Land Art.
The cooperage: the heart of wine
The path finally leads to the cooperage, where the wine comes to life in a perfect balance of tradition and innovation.
Here, artisan knowledge blends with modern winemaking techniques, resulting in wines that tell of a timeless passion.

Mindful Wine Tasting
A mindful experience that invites you to slow down and savor the culture of wine
An immersive experience among the vineyards of Langhe and Roero, in a natural and artistic setting.
The project was conceived by Marta Indra di Giulio and is the result of research in mindfulness and neuroscience.
The experience begins with a walk through the artistic vineyard, among installations immersed in the landscape, to discover biodynamic viticulture and the connection between nature and wine.
This is followed by mindful tasting, an innovative approach that guides you to explore wine through the senses, combining perception, technique, and awareness.
Wine is not simply tasted, but experienced deeply: through breath, listening, and sensory perception, to create an authentic connection with the terroir.

Cascina Bauci is also an experiential educational farm
The farm offers an active sensory experience, combining taste practices, foraging, mindfulness and movement, both outdoors and in the Harmonic Space, a dedicated environment equipped with mats and zafu (meditation cushions).
Activities include moments of deep relaxation with Tibetan or crystal bells, as well as the immersive experience of Silent Disco. Proposals are customizable and designed for families, schools, businesses and individual adults, with programs tailored to age and specific needs.
Emanuele and Marta have chosen not to house animals in cages, preferring to enhance the richness of the natural space: observation points with birdhouses allowing visitors to admire the fauna in its habitat without disturbing it.
Starting from the work Oltrecielo, a walk leads the guest to the vineyard and then to the harmonious space where a sensory experience closely connects the guest with nature.
The perfect choice to combine authentic wine, moments of relaxation or rejuvenation, and a deep connection with the Langhe landscape.
