Founded in 1974 in a farmhouse dating back to the mid-eighteenth century, the Dosio Vigneti company stands at the highest point of La Morra, on the Serradenari hill: this is where the highest Barolo of the entire denomination is born.
With 2010, the winery sees a second rebirth: the founders are replaced by new owners who renew the appearance of the company, while preserving its traditional feel.
The large structure, typically rural and surrounded by its own vineyards, enjoys an enchanting position: at five hundred meters above sea level, the view sweeps across the Cuneo and Turin plains, reaching the splendid Maritime Alps and the Monte Rosa massif.
The company philosophy? Being guided by nature
The values underlying the work that is carried out every day in the vineyard and in the cellar are based on a constant search for quality, a strong link with tradition and with the territory, passion and respect for the environment.
The spirit that guides the company’s choices, in particular those of winemaking, is to support nature as much as possible in its course, using all modern non-invasive technologies to optimize the production process, thus obtaining a high quality production.
The new owners have preserved the original appearance of the cellar, still rustic today
The great wines of Dosio Vigneti rest in small barrels, to develop over time

The Wines
The advantageous position of the vineyards ensures the right ventilation and temperature for optimal ripening
Currently, the company has a vineyard area of about 11 hectares, located in the municipalities of La Morra and Barolo.
All the native grape varieties of the area (Arneis, Freisa, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo) are vinified, as well as some international ones.
Since its origins, the winery has carried forward a strong passion for French varieties.
As a testament to this, the Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc vineyards offer unique scents and fragrances, from which wines such as Barilà, Eventi, and Langhe Bianco are born.
Quality is born in the vineyard, to manifest itself in the cellar
At the base of everything are the choices in the vineyard: the company applies integrated pest management across the entire vineyard area, with attention increasingly tending towards organic.
The same principles are also respected in the cellar, with low-impact oenology that enhances the quality of the raw material at every stage.

Three Barolo excellences
The winery owns vineyards in three of the most important Barolo crus: Serradenari, Fossati, and Bussia
Serradenari, Fossati, and Bussia are MGAs (Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive), recognized for the quality of their terroir and optimal position.
The first is a historic vineyard of great value, as well as the highest point for Barolo production, and gives life to an elegant wine that is extremely balanced.
The Fossati cru and its link with the winery’s history
The Fossati MGA is intimately linked to the company’s past: the Barolo Dosio Fossati was in fact the first with this name, back in 1986; even before this area was identified as an MGA.
The Barolo produced here is certainly more difficult when young, but over time it takes on truly exceptional characteristics.
Bussia, one of the most prestigious areas in the Barolo territory
The vineyard owned by Cantine Dosio is located in the heart of Bussia Sottana at an altitude ranging from 240 to 280m above sea level, with a south-east/east exposure and an average vine age of about 25 years: characteristics that make Barolo Bussia Dosio the most authentic expression of this terroir.
The particular mineral component of the terroir gives the wine a high structure and a very intense color, with a robust and never invasive tannic perception, a pleasant persistence, and good vigor.
