Poderi Vaiot, a family-run winery where Daniele and his son Edoardo share the same passion for the land and wine, is located in Montà. Together, they proudly carry on a family legacy always focused on excellence.
Deeply rooted in the land, the winery produces wines that are faithful expressions of this unique landscape, carefully respecting localidentity and traditions.
Each bottle-from Roero DOCG to Roero Arneis and from Nebbiolo d’Alba to Alta Langa-tells the authentic soul of these hills.
The vineyards extend in a privileged location near the fascinating Santuario dei Piloni, an ancient structure of Roman origin that dominates one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Roero.

A story that
begins in 2003
in Montà
An entirely family-owned business
Poderi Vaiot is a family-run business, now proudly reaching its third generation.
The brothers Daniele and Walter Casetta have taken up the legacy of their father Franco and grandfather Pietro, preserving and enhancing the secrets of traditional winemaking.
Starting in 2003, they embarked on an autonomous and personal path, which has led them to define a unique vision, the result of experience, passion and continuous research.
Today it is Daniele who leads the winery, accompanied with enthusiasm by his son Edoardo, who represents the new generation and the look towards the future.
The Wines
Each wine encapsulates a piece of this land, famous for the production of DOC and DOCG wines, both red and white berry
In the wines of the Roero lies a world waiting to be discovered, ranging from the freshness of Roero Arneis to the depth of Roero DOCG and the structure of Barbera and Nebbiolo d’Alba.
Alta Langa and Nebbiolo d’Alba Spumante Rosé deserve special mention.
The winery values a limited production, carefully selecting grapes to ensure high quality wines. Thus, production is not focused on quantity, but on quality.
Like the wineries of yesteryear, here we work carefully, avoiding excesses so as not to compromise the great potential of this ecosystem.
In addition, the oak barrels used to house the wines are made from wood from estate trees grown in the Montà area. Nebbiolo and Barbera d’Alba mature in untreated vats, while Roero is aged in barriques.

Care in the vineyard and respect for biodiversity
Every treatment in the vineyards is carefully followed, respecting the natural rhythms of the land
Assisted by a trusted agronomist, Poderi Vaiot produces DOC and DOCG wines with full respect for nature, those who work in the vineyard and the consumer.
The vineyards are the result of an unwavering commitment to the environment: the land is tended here, where the vines grow strong, surrounded by the wild herbs typical of the Roero, such as savory, dwarf, chicory, mallow, white parsley and wild mint, a sign of healthy and fertile soil.
These flavors, used in cooking in the preparation of dishes to be paired with production wines, create winning pairings.
The combination of Alta Langa Val del Moro and savory salmon creates an unparalleled harmony of flavors, just as Barbera d’Alba enhances the delicate taste of mallow risotto.
Most of the work is manual, to protect biodiversity and preserve the balance of these extraordinary lands.
Roero is a place where time stands still, where the beauty of nature and the richness of culture come together in an unforgettable experience
