San Martino National Fair: opening

The Historic Center of Chieri (Piazza Cavour, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, Via Palazzo di Città, Piazza Umberto I) hosts the 48th San Martino National Fair.

Local and national food and wine, food retail, gift items, and much more.

Following the success of previous editions, the highly anticipated San Martino Fair returns to Chieri for a weekend dedicated to traditional flavors.

Village of food excellence

10:00 AM → 8:00 PM, Via Palazzo di Città

A journey through the flavors and scents of Piedmont: producers and agri-food companies present their excellence, featuring tastings, samples, and direct sales of the region’s finest products.

Piazza del Gusto

10:00 AM → 11:00 PM, Piazza Cavour

Stands serving the excellence of Piedmontese and national food and wine traditions.

Focaccia Lab

2:30 PM → 4:00 PM, Pala San Martino, Piazza Umberto I

A journey through tradition and craftsmanship to discover one of the symbolic sweets of the area.

Guided by master Luigi Berruti, a teacher at CIOFS-FP in Chieri, participants will literally put their hands in the dough to learn the secrets of true Chieri focaccia, from working the dough to the characteristic sugary finish.

An engaging experience dedicated to an adult audience, to rediscover an authentic excellence of local tradition.

Salami toss

3:00 PM → 6:00 PM, Piazza Cavour

In a fun themed stand, children and adults can enjoy throwing fluorescent rings to hit one of the much-coveted salamis.

You will need precision, a touch of luck, and a great desire to get involved: those who succeed in the feat will take home a real artisanal salami.

The gems of the Chieri and Carmagnola food district

4:00 PM → 5:00 PM, Pala San Martino, Piazza Umberto I

Showcooking by the chefs of the Chieri-Carmagnola Food District, who will bring to life a menu inspired by the territory using one or more District products.

An opportunity to discover recipes, techniques, and pairings that enhance local agri-food excellence, telling their story, quality, and tradition through cooking.

The San Martino Menus road show

5:00 PM → 6:00 PM, Pala San Martino, Piazza Umberto I

The Chieri restaurateurs featured in the San Martino Menu will present their specialties created specifically for the Fair and made with products from the Chieri-Carmagnola Food District.

An opportunity to rediscover the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of the territory through dishes that tell the local gastronomic identity and the promotion of zero-kilometer excellence.

Dolcissima Arte Off: Galucio and Vermouth

6:00 PM → 7:00 PM, Pala San Martino, Piazza Umberto I

An event dedicated to the meeting of two local excellences: Galucio and Vermouth.

The Master flavorist Alfredo La Cava from the distillery of the same name will guide the public in discovering Vermouth through stories, tastings, and curiosities.

To complete the journey, two Chieri pastry shops will present their Galucio, another pride of the local confectionery tradition, in a dialogue of flavors between history, craftsmanship, and the territory.

The Fair

The San Martino Fair in Chieri is a historic event held in the historic center of the city near Turin; in 2025, it took place from November 7 to 11 with the new format by SGP.

The event is also confirmed for the 2026 edition, a weekend dedicated to traditional tastes and flavors featuring entertainment shows, workshops, tastings, showcooking, renowned guests from the national food and wine scene, and much more.

The 2026 edition will take place from November 6 to 8, alongside the Agricultural Fair, which will instead end on November 10.
