Drawing Festival

The Fabriano Drawing Festival stops in Albaretto della Torre and Novello.

A weekend dedicated to creativity, dialogue, and the beauty of being together.

On Saturday the 19th, the Alta Langa and Barolo Hills territory hosts the Drawing Festival promoted by Fabriano, with a rich calendar of events created by Novelab in collaboration with the Municipality of Albaretto della Torre, LoveLanghe, and the Municipality of Novello.

The workshops

The scheduled events, in addition to hosting professionals in various forms of graphic art, offer precious opportunities to test oneself, experiment with new expressive languages, and share social moments open to all generations, from 3 to 99 years old.

Among nibs, movable type, colored papers, and shared snacks, each participant can explore their own manual skills without the fear of making mistakes, transforming the artistic gesture into a tool for connection with others.

The journey into creativity begins, for the first time, in the heart of Albaretto della Torre with three proposals designed to stimulate imagination and relationships.

Three different events, in three different places in the village, to explore paper through different techniques and languages: from the precision of quilling to calligraphic writing, and the free gesture of doodling.

Let’s Doodle. Traces of self

3:30 PM → 6:30 PM

With Laura Bongioanni, an invitation to rediscover personal expression according to the “Globalità dei Linguaggi” method: on large sheets fixed to the ground, participants trace free marks that intertwine into a collective work, exhibited throughout the day.

A game of imagination where every doodle tells a different story.

The event takes place in Piazza Michele Ferrero.

Quilling Artworks. Paper becomes art

4:30 PM → 6:00 PM

Paper becomes art, one curve at a time.

With Marta Valsania we discover Quilling: the technique that transforms thin strips of paper into original and colorful decorations.

We will learn the basic rolling and composition techniques, and then create a personalized small artwork to take home.

Just a bit of paper is enough to create a small masterpiece.

The event takes place at the Chiesetta dell’Immacolata (Via Castello).

Lightness in a stroke

4:00 p.m. → 6:00 p.m.

Calligraphy and origami workshop.

With Cinzia Cogno, a journey into calligraphy to discover Copperplate, an elegant and meditative calligraphic style that invites slowing down and presence.

Participants are guided through the basic strokes and the lowercase alphabet, practicing with nib and ink on different papers.

The meeting concludes with the creation of an origami butterfly, a symbol of lightness and transformation, whose wings can be decorated with a handwritten word or initial.

The event takes place at B&B La Rola (Via Umberto 4).

For the first time in Albaretto della Torre, the Drawing Festival promoted by Fabriano brings three creative workshops for all ages.

On Saturday the 19th, in the afternoon, quilling, calligraphy, and doodling become the excuse to play with paper, marks, and colors, in an afternoon designed for children, teenagers, and adults, from 3 to 99 years old.

All materials are provided, snack included.
