The DarSenso mansion is located in the historic center of Albaretto della Torre, a small village in the Alta Langa, characterized by a 28-meter-high medieval tower, the symbol of the village, and nestled in the wilderness of forests and the quiet of hazelnut groves.
The accommodation houses two rooms inside an old farmhouse that has recently been renovated, maintaining the typical materials of this area: rough wood and Langa stone.
Therelaxing and welcomingenvironment creates a connection with the surrounding nature and allows guests toexperience close contact with the locals.
Why DarSenso
DarSenso is a project and a dream that Ilenia and Davide want to share with all their guests. A way to give more space to the five senses and perceive deeply the essence of things.
Only by observing, smelling, touching and listening can one grow and gain awareness.
And so, grasping the characteristics of a dish, a wine, a plant, a territory, a person and being guided by perceptions can make one happy.
Anyone who knocks on DarSenso’s door willexperience something different-because it is governed by one’s senses-and unique.
The Rooms
Two tastefully decorated rooms that echo the style of typical Langa houses
The rooms are equipped with all amenities to ensure guests have a relaxing stay. They are always present:
- towels
- A toiletries set (with toilet paper, soap, shower gel, intimate soap, shower cap and slippers)
- hair dryer
- refrigerator
In each room, there is no shortage of tea and herbal tea making facilities and a coffee maker. A crib for children can be requested upon request.
Olfatto Room
Located on the ground floor of the farmhouse, it has a double bed and private toilet facilities.
Vista Room
Located on the second floor of the farmhouse, it has two double beds, one of which is on a wooden mezzanine, reached by a convenient flight of stairs. Toilet facilities are private.
Breakfast
In the morning, a rich breakfast, sweet and savory, is served in the room. All products are artisanal and typical of Alta Langa, made from IGP Hazelnuts.

The facility has some areas, which can be reserved exclusively, where you can immerse yourself in the tastes and smells of local products and wines.

Relaxation in the tub with an aperitif
An opportunity to relax surrounded by nature. A bath inside an 8-seat, all-wood whirlpool tub that can be heated to the desired temperature.
At the end there will be an aperitif in the garden with cold cuts, cheese and a glass of wine.
Aperitif/picnic in medieval tower
To enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view from the top of the tower. Up there you can see an expanse of hills and Monviso.
It is possible to choose whether to enjoy local excellence during breakfast,aperitif, lunch or dinner. And if that still wasn’t enough, a Chef can prepare the dishes in show cooking.
All ingredients are selected with great attention to raw materials and are sourced from local short supply chain farms.
Private dinners and workshops
A private chef prepares typical Piedmontese dishes.
For those who would like to have an educational experience, private workshops can be arranged.
The location of these experiences is a charming historic old stone wine cellar, equipped with a wood-burning oven.
