Babello Fest

On Sunday, June 2, Novello turns into Babello!

We party to be together, we stay together to understand each other.

Babello Fest wants to give space to different “languages and arts” by experimenting with the possibilities of sharing places and living together while maintaining individuality.

Babello Fest aims to be a family-friendly day of celebration for all and sundry.

Babello Fest is inspired by the Mokmentary filmed by the Colletivo Pan crew for the Piedmont Documenteur Film Festival.

Program

The streets of downtown

From 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., the village streets come alive with local artists , artisans and producers with more than 30 booths.

During the day, some artisans will offer bench workshops on the street.

Live performance

11:30 a.m. at the Novelab Theater room performance of the adult theater course “All Your Scene.”

Followed by a screening of the mockumentary “Babello” filmed in Novello for the PDFF.

Music

Accompanying musically will take turns at the console in Vittorio Emanuele II Square.

• Vincenzo Scalabrino: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. DISCO RELAX – DJ set on vinyl
• Swing Juice: from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to the rhythm of Jazz. Social dance, performance and “first steps” by Swing Juice Association
• Reghe’n’rolla: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Black Music, Reggae, Rock and Electronic

For families

From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Giordano Street LUDOBUS by the Valdocco Animation Cooperative: a load of wooden games suitable for different ages!

At 4 p.m. at Novelab Theater Hall show “A spasso con Sandrone” by and with Giorgio Gabrielli – Show in the Burattinarte review.

Guaranteed fun!

Food & beverage

During the day from lunch to dinner different proposals: the trio of Teosinte will take you to Mexico with two taco proposals, one veg and one meat.

Binario 9 ¾ will offer rich and succulent Bra sausage sandwiches.

There will be no shortage of wine from Novello Producers and beers from de Lab Fermentations.

To enrich the day 3 workshops by reservation:

At 10 a.m. at the Theater Room Gong Bath with Giulia Viberti a total immersion in sound capable of literally putting you back into the world. A practice suitable for all and sundry, including children.

Also at 10 a.m. but in Monviso Hall “CerAmica” with Francesca Guariento Clay painting workshop to customize your own mug.

In the afternoon: Grekado – Karin Holzmann at the Monviso Room at Novelab at 2 p.m. leads a workshop on handmade printing on fabric (wood block print).

Decorating your shopper with molds and colors will be a hoot.

Workshops open to adults and children if accompanied.

Trekking

Also in the orbit of Babello Fest is the proposed Terkking in Langa: meeting at 10 a.m. for a short trek of 10 km return at about 1 p.m., reservations welcome by Saturday 176.

“5 Works” project

Inauguration of the “5 Works” project hosted by La Risorseria: for 2 months, 5 works by different artists will be hosted in rotation.

It begins on June 2 with Ligurian artist Fulvio Ioan, who focuses his artistic research on the development of graphic language in a narrative and expressionist direction.
