The historic residence Villa Prato is a relais with an ancient charm and renewed beauty located in the Asti municipality of Mombaruzzo, famous for its amaretti and for its viticulture, immersed in the hills of Monferrato amongst unique and evocative landscapes.
The Villa
As early as the early 1200s it was resided by the aristocratic Prato family, which distinguished itself through the numerous merchants, lawyers and notaries who proudly brought the family name to a well-known status.
Villa Prato adapted well to the epochs of history, and over the centuries there were numerous renovations, influences and people who gave birth to the villa’s new shapes and new walls.
The Berta family bought it in 2007, after falling in love with its enchanting spaces, spectacular views and the frescoes that embellish the rooms and its history; all worth discovering.

Villa Prato offers 3 different ways to enjoy the area’s excellent food and wine, each with a different approach.
Officina with its frescoed rooms is a restaurant of tradition, simple taste, eating well, and the convivial experience of being together.
Taverna is a cozy place conceived in the harmony of simplicity. Tradition and innovation follow one another in the dishes for a lighter proposal, without neglecting the selection of raw materials, the care in preparation, and the attention to beauty.
Easy in Villa Prato, on the other hand, proposes itself as a simple time of relaxation where one can enjoy a moment of freedom, a light lunch with seasonal vegetables and fruits, cereals, soups, centrifuges, and yogurt, or a glass of sparkling wine accompanied by traditional appetizers.
