The exhibition “Poet of Poets” is an exceptional event born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Canelli, the “Turma Ungà”, and the associations Memoria Viva Canelli and Mnemosyne of Brescia, with the participation of the G. Monticone Library and the Unesco Club of Canelli.

This is the first official presentation of a small selection of ancient Japanese paintings donated by Giuseppe Ungaretti to Bruna Bianco.

The exhibition, curated by the great expert in Japanese art Paolo Linetti and sponsored by the Consulate General of Japan in Milan, Piedmont Region, Regional Council of Piedmont, Province of Asti and the Italy Japan Foundation, will be held in the splendid baroque church of San Rocco (Via Villanuova 20).

The title comes from the fact that within the rich collection donated by the poet Ungaretti there are several portraits of ancient Japanese poets.

The opening is scheduled for Friday, October 16, at 6 PM, with the participation of the Ambassador of Japan to Italy, Ms. ONO Hikariko, and the Consul General YAGI Koji.

Memoria Viva Canelli
