On Friday, June 7, in the spaces of the new cultural center Ar. co – contemporary archive in Castile, an itinerary made of documents, images and videos will be presented ten years after the inauguration of the Prison Memory Museum.

The material on display comes from theAntigone Association’s archives (in storage at the Castile) and the museum’s archives.

The #passionirecluse exhibition, curated by Claudio Sarzotti, aims to narrate some events related to the history of Saluzzo prison from which the passions closely related to the prison universe emerge: desire for revenge, anger, but also desire for forgiveness, desire for freedom.

Alongside the material already on display in the Prison Memory Museum, other documents within the #passionirecluse exhibition and additional material from the Antigone Association’s archives will be on display.

The itinerary is enriched by a section dedicated to art curated by the Garuzzo Foundation, through four videos from the series “Tutorials” (2022-2023) by Mariana Ferratto (Rome, 1979), courtesy the artist and The Gallery Apart, Rome.

Also on display alongside the videos will be a number of artifacts that tell the story of the spaces of clandestine freedom and creativity that Argentine political prisoners managed to gain during the 1976-83 dictatorship.

At the conclusion of the #passionirecluse presentation, it will be possible to participate in a guided tour of the Museum of Prison Memory and a guided tour of the Garuzzo Foundation’s exhibition “The Time of Commonality” with curator Olga Gambari and some of the artists featured in the exhibition.

The presentation of the #passionirecluse exhibition is part of the program of La Notte degli Archivi, itself part of Archivissima, the Festival of Archives.
