Terre Alte offers you an evocative evening-night hike on the Cuckoo Trail to experience the magical evening atmosphere while crossing enchanting places rich in scenic, natural and historical beauty.
The route passes through the territory of the picturesque and scenic village of Arguello, known as the Cuckoo Country.
Although it is one of the smallest municipalities in Italy, it has a thousand-year history behind it: thanks to its strategic location overlooking the Belbo Valley, it was a gateway to the Via Magistra Langarum, a Roman-era road that connected Alba Pompeia to the Ligurian Sea.
The route unfolds in an area immersed in nature and silence, amidst scents of hay and broom; it passes through ancient hamlets characterized by Langa stone, leads to the charming and scenic little church of San Michele, and will give us the chance to admire a 100-year-old oak tree.
We will continue the bucolic and romantic route back to the cars with a loop trail under the starry sky, in the company of fireflies.
An excursion not to be missed!
Those who wish to do so before leaving can stop at the Three Wedges bar for a cool aperitif accompanied by appetizers.
