The ring of ancient farmsteads, graffiti, and the MangiaAndanda

On the occasion of a not-to-be-missed food and wine event that takes place in the streets of the charming historic center of Cerretto Langhe, Terre Alte offers you two loops that take place in the most evocative places of the authentic and wild Langa.

Views to the East

The first loop (the morning one, to the east) crosses the area that looks to the Belbo Valley and the Rio Lavagello Valley.
Places of special natural and scenic interest where there are still majestic specimens of Beech trees, silent woods and ancient Cascine.
In some parts of the trail the bottom of an ancient road used in the past to cross the Valleys or reach the mills along the stream is still visible.
We will return for a lunch break in the village and those who wish can participate in the Mangiandanda event, a taste trail through the streets of the village; at each station you can enjoy delicious traditional dishes and of course excellent wine!

Meet at 9:45 am at Viale Rimembranza Loc.
Cappelletta c/o parking lot Cerretto Langhe cemetery (Cn). Departure 10:00 am. Lunch at Mangiandanda (recommended for food quality) or packed lunch (not provided).

Western views

The second loop (afternoon) runs west of the area and largely follows the Graffiti Trail.
We will descend into a secluded valley, initially flanking the hazelnut groves of the precious “Tonda Gentile” of the Langhe, to reach a wild valley floor . We will climb back up to enjoy a breathtaking view from the ridge trail overlooking the landscape over the Tanaro Valley and the Alps, a scenic route from which you can admire an evocative sunset.

Departure 3:30 pm.
You can choose to walk the two loops or a single nello.
