The land of roses and the path of wonders

Bossolasco is a romantic resort town known as “THE COUNTRY OF THE ROSES.”

The street in the old town, which leads to the parish church of St. John the Baptist, is decorated with fragrant and colorful rose bushes that give the street an almost enchanted appearance, characterized by charming views.

This flowery town is given the name “Pearl of the Langhe” and also the “Portofino of the Langhe,” to accentuate the special beauty that sets it apart from other Langhe towns.

We will leave from the romantic historic center of the town to walk along the trails that pass through the most beautiful, unspoiled and characteristic places in the area. On the romantic Hawthorn path, we will reach the picturesque village of Lomonte and walk along a path that corresponds to the ancient Roman road that connected the Belbo Valley to Bossolasco; in some sections the cobblestones are still visible.

We will plunge into a silent forest of great botanical interest to connect to the Orchid Trail.

We will continue inside an atmospheric forest, in a natural, wild and secluded environment where there are numerous badger and fox dens.

We will reach Porrera locality among the blooms of fragrant gorse and then the charming little village of Bossolaschetto, where we will have a picnic lunch in a particularly scenic spot.

We will return to Bossolasco along a scenic ridge overlooking the Tanaro Valley, the Langa del Barolo and the Alps, and we will admire the lonely and picturesque San Lorenzo Chapel on our way.

When you return to the village you can enjoy the spectacular blossoming of roses coloring the streets of the charming old town, taste warm Rose flavored friceu paired with delicious Rose ice cream or enjoy a relaxing aperitif!
