From vineyards to woods: golden autumn from Treiso to Alta Langa

A journey on foot through the geometry of the vineyards and the wild magic of the woods in autumn colour.

A striking walk in early autumn discovering a territory rich in tradition, nature and history.

The territory and the route

We’ll set out from the small, intimate historic centre of Treiso, marked by the presence of prized vineyards ready to offer up their rich clusters, and follow the panoramic paths that lead into the authentic Langa, the Langa of ancient farming traditions.

We’ll step back in time among tiny stone hamlets of the Langa, golden silent woods in the territory narrated by the Alba writer Beppe Fenoglio.

We’ll cross the territory of the prized MGA (Additional Geographic Mentions) where the grapes ripen that give life to distinguished wines, and reach the hills of Alta Langa along a panoramic ridge running lengthwise.

We’ll return by completing a loop that will let us touch one of the most striking geological sites in the territory.

At the end there will be a pleasant moment together to enjoy a good glass of wine

Meeting at 9:45 a.m. in Treiso, Piazza Leopoldo Baracco 8.

Departure 10:00 am.

Packed lunch break.

Return in the afternoon.
