A loop trail through the hills of Novello and Barolo: golden hues, pools of water, and panoramic views over one of the world’s most famous wine lands

The territory and the landscape

We’ll set out from the village of Novello, a delightful landscape that from its height of 471 m looks out over the UNESCO Core Zone, and we’ll savor the magical autumn atmospheres in the most joyful time of year: the harvest and the foliage.

The slopes best exposed to the sun on the gentle hills are the natural cradle of the vine, which expresses itself in this territory through the production of grapes of great quality from which rich, sensation-filled wines are born.

We’ll walk the paths that cross the orderly, combed vineyards that give life to prized traditional wines such as Barolo and the recovered Nas-cetta, with aromatic characteristics that recall white flowers, acacia honey, citrus, and herbs.

We’ll reach panoramic sites of particular beauty, cross ancient and silent hamlets, and admire the landscape beauties of the Langa’s most significant places, discovering them step by step through the telling of historical events and figures.

The aperitif moment – Nas-cetta and more

At the end of the excursion, it is possible to taste the wine of the territory at the “Bottega del Vino” of Novello, where you will find a wide choice of wines from the producers of the territory and you will be guided through the tasting by an expert.

Meeting at 9:45 AM in Novello (Cn), Piazza Monviso.

Departure 10:00 am.

Packed lunch by the shores of a small lake.

Return in the afternoon at 4:00 PM.
