At sunset on the trail of the Cuckoo: steps, silences, and ancient hamlets

An unusual excursion through hidden clearings, ancient stories, and the pleasure of an evening together.

There are places capable of guarding a rare silence, capable of making you feel elsewhere just a few steps from home.

The route

Sunday, July 12, at the hour when the daylight becomes warm and golden, we will meet in the cozy heart of a little-known Langa for a special and somewhat mysterious trek.

With the light spirit of someone setting off on an ironic treasure hunt, we will playfully set out on the trail of the Cuckoo, venturing along its path just as the sun begins to hide behind the hills.

The route will guide us through beautifully isolated and silent areas, where nature becomes intimate and protective.

We will walk through silent groves that suddenly open onto solitary clearings, touching the places of this land’s deep memory.

It will be a unique opportunity to walk upon the remains of the ancient Magistra Langarum and breathe in the millennial charm that still surrounds the memory of the church of San Frontiniano, immersed in a suspended and wonderfully secluded atmosphere.

The evening

The conviviality of a summer evening (optional program).

After filling your eyes with the colors of the sunset, the beauty of the walk will continue at the table.

Upon our return, to end the Sunday evening in total relaxation, we will all gather at La Ru’ in Lequio Berria for a pizza and a moment of pure conviviality.

It will be the perfect way to toast the steps taken, chat and enjoy the beauty of being together.

Program

Meeting at 5:15 PM at Località Tre Cunei, Via provinciale 19 c/o Banca d’Alba.

Departure at 5:30 PM.

Walk ends around 8:30 PM, followed by a convivial pizza for those who wish.

Total elevation gain 370 m.

Excursion of great interest: scenic, naturalistic, geological and historical.

Excursion led by tourist guide and AIGAE environmental hiking guide, Piedmont Region, with narration of the territory.
