The landscape is a work of art: perhaps the highest, the most choral that humanity has expressed …
Terre Alte brings you to the discovery of a sensational territory and does it in the most natural way there is: on foot.
The pleasant excursions are spread among the hills that have received the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site. A land rich in great naturalistic and cultural interest, still unknown to mass tourism.
Starting from the Bassa Langa, that of Barolo and Barbaresco, characterized by vineyards so ordered that they look like gardens, passing through the Roero, an evocative territory rich in magical places with its chestnut woods and fortresses, up to the Alta Langa.
And here, on the silent ridges of these hills, you can discover botanical jewels, such as the splendid orchid blooms, the ancient sandstone hamlets and the scenic trails once beaten by merchants and smugglers.
All the walks are guided by Roberta, a profound connoisseur of the territory and certified tourist and naturalistic guide with license of the Piedmont Region.
Thematic and cultural walks
Roberta organizes walks to discover the most evocative places in the area.
The excursions follow the seasonal rhythms: the first blooms can be admired in spring, in summer you walk in the moonlight and in autumn the foliage is the protagonist of memorable shots.
Do not miss the search for truffles, following the trifulau and his dog, the trips that lead to village feasts and the long crossings from the hills to the sea.
Usually the outings end with a convivial moment, a merenda sinoira, following interesting visits to wineries, dairies or companies producing typical Langa goodness.
Walks and culture
Territory and culture are inextricably linked to each other: Roberta proves it by offering interesting ideas during the journey.
Sometimes the excursions are specifically designed to follow the traces of the protagonists of works by writers born on these hills, such as Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese, or to stop at castles and Romanesque churches rich in centuries-old frescoes.
Geology and culture thus merge into a single element and enrich the days of all those who decide to join Roberta.
