The story behind the Cascina Valeggia farmstead isn’t found in historical documents; it’s found in the stories handed down from father to son.
The Bollito family, originally from Cisterna d’Asti, came to Moncalvo at the beginning of the 1900s.
Since then, three generations have gone by, each of which put its experience at the service of consumers.
Today Cascina Valeggia is a diversified company, that offers wines, goat cheese, cold cuts and high quality Fassona Piedmont meat.
All products can be tasted and purchased at the company sales point.
The company, with its 25 hectares of vineyards, is continuously developing and uses modern technology to achieve the utmost product quality.
The grapes are vinified in its own cellars, with processes that respect both traditions and nature.
In the ancient cellars, built with exposed bricks, the most prestigious wines are aged in oak barrels.
Among the various labels produced, some of the great Red Piedmont wines stand out: Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG, Grignolino d’Asti DOC and Freisa d’Asti DOC.
Of particular importance is the cultivation of a typical Monferrato vine, the Slarina.
The Bollito family produces raw Alps Camosciata goat milk cheeses.
The company breeds as many as 120 goats from which it gets its milk to produce both fresh and aged cheeses.
Crescenza, Robiola, Ricotta, Toma and Blu, just to name a few, distinguish themselves for genuineness and traditional recipes.
Each plot of land has its own history and organoleptic characteristics that vary according to the season, lactation period and the herbs present in the meadows from which the hay and alfalfa are obtained.
Cold cuts and Meat
The company produces raw and cooked Moncalvo salami, lonzardo, coppa and fresh sausages, along with Piedmont Fassona meat.
The calves are raised as naturally as possible and fed with our own hay and cereals, non-GMO certified.
The Bollito family offers family packages, customized for every type of need, and retail sales.
Visits to the company’s wineries can be booked.
Weather permitting, you can also take a walk among the vineyards, see the work in the cellar, the goats and cattle grazing and participate in the dairy processing stages.
At the end of the visit there’s a tasting session of the wines and cheeses we produce, which takes place in the Cascina Valeggia sales point, a spacious room that hosts up to 35 people.

Cascina Valeggia produces and sells prestigious Monferrato wines in bulk as well.
The vintage bulk wine is floral, fruity, round and easily drinkable. A wine with a genuine taste, just like the good old days.
The wines are sold in bag-in-box containers in 3, 5, 10 and 20 liters or in bottles (1 liter), large bottles (2 liters) and (5 liter) jugs.
