Cascina Borine Luxury Villa
Business Hours
Cascina Borine was born from the restoration of an ancient farmhouse in the Alta Langa, chosen by Raphaele and Michael, a Franco-Dutch couple looking for a secluded refuge, immersed in nature and the quiet of the hills.
On the outside, the house preserves its rural character, with the arches of the facade, the old barn transformed into a loft, and the vegetable garden. The spaces linked to peasant life have been recovered and reinterpreted, giving shape to a charming villa that maintains the link with the past.
In the large garden, among tall trees, you will find the heated saltwater pool and the sunbathing area.
The interiors reflect the owners’ travels and passions. Raphaele’s artistic background emerges in the choice of artworks from different parts of the world and the creations of local artisans, which coexist with family memories.
Upon your arrival, you will find a welcome basket with a selection of local products: pasta, sauces, spreads, and olives, to prepare something simple and tasty.
5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a swimming pool, featuring a stunning view over the Langhe vineyards.
Functional spaces designed for enjoying the simple pleasure of cooking and sharing.
A warm and cozy setting to relax, read, chat, and enjoy wonderful moments together.
A story that
begins in 2021
in Albaretto della Torre
Cascina Borine is born from the encounter between the charm of a historic home, contemporary comfort, and a particular sensitivity for art and design.
There is a house in Albaretto della Torre that guards more than a century of history.
It is a story that Michael and Raphaele encountered in 2021 when, after living and traveling in different parts of the world, they discovered the hills of the Langhe and, almost by chance, an ancient farmhouse that won them over from the very first moment.
The house still bore the marks of time, but it preserved something difficult to describe: an authentic atmosphere, a memory made of generations, encounters, and moments of life.
It was precisely this character that inspired the desire to imagine a new future for it.
Thus, a long and careful restoration project took shape, lasting five years, guided by the desire to respect the history and soul of the building.
The goal was not to transform the farmhouse into something different, but to enhance its identity, preserve its character, and accompany it toward a new life.
The Rooms
The spaces of Cascina Borine tell the story of Michael and Raphaele's passions and personal taste
Cascina Borine is a home to be lived in together, where every room tells something of Michael and Raphaele’s passions and travels. The furnishings, materials, and objects chosen with care coexist with the original elements of the farmhouse, creating a personal and welcoming atmosphere.
The spaces are spacious and designed to be shared, but there is no lack of more secluded corners where you can enjoy a moment of peace, read, or work.
The farmhouse spaces
The kitchen is the heart of the home, a bright 50 sqm environment where you can gather to prepare dinner, chat, and spend time together. The large oak table, which seats up to 10-12 people, invites you to share the pleasure of the table, perhaps after preparing fresh pasta.
If you love cooking, there is no lack of equipment: high-end Miele appliances, a slicer, a fresh pasta machine, and two climate-controlled wine cellars.
The living room is organized around a large coffee table, with two large sofas where you can sit to converse, read, or spend an evening in company. A selection of board games is also available.
The study instead offers a more private environment, with two comfortable armchairs, a spacious desk with a printer, and an elegant bar corner. A place where you can dedicate yourself to work, stop to read, or enjoy a drink at the end of the day.
All rooms feature 180 cm double beds and walk-in showers. The farmhouse also has an equipped laundry room, available during your stay.
For special needs, you can arrange directly with Michael and Raphaele, who are available to evaluate your requests. Check-in is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and check-out from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Explore
Discover the Langhe on foot, by bicycle, or through the most authentic traditions
Directly from the farmhouse, hiking trails depart that cross vineyards, hazelnut groves, and woods, with itineraries of varying duration and difficulty. In the house, you will find maps and directions to organize your walks, as well as a practical picnic basket to take with you. It is also possible to organize e-bike excursions and rides through the hills.
To get to know the Langhe through their products and the people who make them, you can choose between winery tastings, visits to producers, gastronomic experiences, and truffle hunting.
If you wish to work out even during your stay, the house provides resistance bands, a TRX system, kettlebells, light weights, and yoga mats, which can also be used in the garden.
From 2027, an equipped gym for cardio and weight training will also be available.
Why choose the Alta Langa
During your stay, you can experience winery tastings, discovering the local wines and their history directly through the stories of the producers.
The Langhe can also be explored on foot or by bike, with excursions through vineyards, rolling hills, and small villages, following routes suitable for different skill levels and paces.
Garden
A large panoramic garden among vineyards and fruit trees, with a heated pool and spaces for outdoor living
The farmhouse is surrounded by 10,000 sqm of private land, including vineyards, fruit trees, and large green spaces. The panoramic position offers a view that, beyond the hills of the Langhe, reaches the Alps, with Monviso clearly recognizable on the horizon.
A large table allows for outdoor dining, while the relaxation area offers a quiet corner to read, rest, or simply enjoy the landscape.
In the garden, there is a 12-meter heated pool, with saltwater and a counter-current system, which allows you to swim even while staying in place.
Among the fruit trees grow apple, pear, pomegranate, cherry, fig, and walnut trees. There is no shortage of aromatic herbs used in the kitchen, such as rosemary, thyme, laurel, sage, and mint.
The garden is also frequented by the wildlife of the surrounding hills. With a bit of luck and discretion, you can observe birds, hares, foxes, badgers, and roe deer, especially during the quietest moments of the day.
