The colors of Nebbiolo and Moscato: a panoramic walk to the Medieval Festival

An unmissable autumn appointment departing at the foot of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, on the hills of prized Barbaresco and Moscato to reach the historic center of Mango in celebration.

The walk begins at the foot of the Village of Neive, one of the most evocative historic centers in Italy and the chosen homeland of Barbaresco.

In this season, the rows of vines take on warm hues ranging from crimson red to amber, offering an unforgettable first sight.

Leaving the lower part of the village behind, the route begins to climb gently along ridge paths submerged in the bright colors of autumn.

The panoramic ascent: the balcony of the Langa

Advancing toward Mango, the landscape opens progressively, revealing the unique nature of this route: a true hinge point, both geographic and visual.

As the altitude rises, the gaze sweeps simultaneously across three iconic territories: the Roero, with its baroque castles dominating the course of the Tanaro river, the Monferrato, with its gentle and endless undulations to the east.

The Langa and Alta Langa, with their wooded ridges and vineyards that embroider the slopes.

In this stretch, the Nebbiolo vine gives way to the geometric rows of Moscato, drawing a golden mosaic that accompanies the steps to the gates of the town.

Arrival in Mango: a plunge into the Middle Ages

Upon reaching the town of Mango, the atmosphere changes completely: the village transforms to welcome the traditional Medieval Festival.

Around the imposing Castle of the Marquises of Busca, time seems to have stood still.

The streets and squares come alive with: live music and period performances, with jesters, musicians and historical reenactments, and food stands, ideal for tasting the traditional dishes of the Langhe accompanied by local wines.

A stop of excellence: The Regional Wine Shop of Moscato

The interior of the Castle houses the Regional Wine Shop of Moscato.

Recently renovated, the structure now presents itself with a modern and elegant appearance, capable of showcasing the historic architecture at its best.

Here it is possible to experience a guided sensory journey, tasting the different expressions of Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante paired with local delicacies.

The return to Neive will offer our eyes a spectacular view!
