The meaningful words of Alba writer Beppe Fenoglio, make it clear how the hills, the Langhe have been a great resource for the people who have populated the area.
They have provided, from the remotest past, shelter, food resources, sustenance and lifeblood to many generations.
Today they are the Langhe of level-headed tourism, of great wines, the hills of the prized Barbaresco and the classic method Alta Langa, expressing a concept of well-being.
We will leave from the center of Treiso, a scenic and quiet village, to reach the hills of Alta Langa where nature becomes more bursting, where even the most precious blooms color the meadows and undergrowth.
These are the hills of rittani and woods, of sandstone and ancient hamlets, of the earth, from which everything is born, as Fenoglio aptly wrote, expressing in a few simple words the essence of a territory.
