In Moasca, in a privileged position between the Langa Astigiana and the Monferrato, Tenuta il Nespolo comes to life, a winery that is young but rooted in a long family tradition.
At the helm of the winery is Luca Amerio, the third generation of winemakers, who has chosen to transform the family legacy into a personal and contemporary project.
Tenuta il Nespolo was thus born from a desire for authenticity, passion and independence. Every choice, from the vineyard to the winery, is guided by a philosophy that focuses on the land, respect for natural rhythms and the quality of the wines.
An adventure that began with courage and concreteness, which today translates into bottles capable of telling the identity of a place and the character of those who live there, to be discovered and tasted directly in the winery, between the rows and the stories told by the producer.

After studying at the Scuola Enologica in Alba and a brief experience in an analysis laboratory, Luca continued his education with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology in Turin. In the meantime, he worked as an agronomist for a historic winery in Monferrato, honing practical skills and vision
For Luca, the turning point came in 2019, when he decided to devote himself completely to tending the family vineyards and found his company
A view that embraces the hills between the Langa Astigiana and the Monferrato: it is from here, from the Tenuta il Nespolo, that each bottle is born. A landscape that recounts the profound bond with the land, among tidy rows of vines, farmsteads and the authentic tranquillity of the Piedmont countryside
The Wines
A family legacy that is renewed among the rows
In every generational transition there are changes: Luke decided to bring a personal and more conscious vision to viticulture and wine.
From the beginning, his idea was clear: to produce wine with balance, avoiding excess, respecting the vineyard and enhancing what it offers.
90% of the work is concentrated between the rows, where organic manuring and rotational green man ure techniques are used. Treatments are kept to an absolute minimum, following a philosophy attentive to the well-being of the land and its inhabitants.
This approach led the estate to obtain SQNPI certification for integrated agriculture, confirming a concrete commitment to sustainability.

Between the rows we work with organic fertilisation and green manure in alternate years, doing only the strictly necessary treatments
Few dogmas and fixed schemes, wines produced using “cunisiun” in the vineyard and cellar, i.e. without excesses, favouring work in the vineyard
Tenuta Il Nespolo is a small winery that produces artisanal and territorial wines from typical Monferrato grapes
Visits & Tastings
Wine and territory: two ways to experience them up close
Guided tours, available Thursday through Saturday, allow visitors to immerse themselves in the reality of the winery and taste wines that reflect the terroir and passion of the producer.
The “Wines to Thirst” trail is dedicated to instant-drinking wines, ideal for summer. It includes a scenic tour of the vineyards, a visit to the winery and tasting of five selected wines, accompanied by a local cheese from “I formaggi di Moasca.”
For those who wish to delve deeper into the link between wine and terroir, the “Moasca unique terroir” tour offers a more comprehensive experience, with tastings of six wines representative of the local terroir, always paired with artisanal cheeses.

It all starts with a Japanese medlar tree, planted right in front of the entrance. One of those stubborn plants, which every season drops its fruit everywhere. When the time came to choose a name for the new cellar, Luca found himself at a crossroads: cut it down or make it a symbol of a new beginning, choosing the second path
A winery visit here is not just about tasting: it is a moment of discovery, conviviality and authentic connection
Moasca is a little-known village, but surprising for its history and deep wine vocation. Here, amidst the hills of Monferrato, Barbera and Moscato draw the landscape and tell of a tradition that goes back in time
