Tasting at one of the oldest and most fascinating Italian wineries, discovering the wines that have made the Coppo brand legendary
This experience includes a visit to the famous Underground Cathedrals, ancient cellars hand-carved into the tuff stone that extend deep into the hill.
True monumental works of art: galleries with brick vaults, corridors and large halls that maintain a constant temperature between 12 and 14 degrees, allowing the wines to age.
Additionally, you’ll be introduced to the winery’s history and wine production, with insights into Piedmont grape varieties, vineyard management, and traditional winemaking methods, leading up to the most anticipated moment: the guided tasting.

The historic Coppo cellars
The Coppo cellars were established in 1892 and are one of the oldest Italian wine-producing estates.
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, the cellars extend beneath the Canelli hill for approximately 5,000 square meters and reach, at their lowest point, 40 meters deep.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, Historic Coppo Cellars spans three centuries of history and is one of Italy’s oldest wineries.
This is a prestigious recognition that makes the Underground Cathedrals a true temple dedicated to wine, its history and the work of man.
A monumental excavation work
The Cellars, carved by hand into the limestone tufa, extend beneath the Canelli hillside for over 5,000 square meters and reach, at the lowest point, 40 meters deep.
The estate extends over 85 hectares of vineyards whose main core is in Monferrato.
The company’s origins date back to 1892 and in 2012 the company was included by Unioncamere in the national register of historic businesses with more than a century of uninterrupted activity.
