Once again this year, the city of Asti is ready to welcome, for its 27th edition, one of Italy’s best-known and most anticipated festivals: ASTIMUSICA!
The unmissable events of the festival will be held fromJuly 11 to 17 for the first time in Asti‘s Piazza Alfieri, bringing a touch of magic and music to the heart of the city.
This year’s edition, promoted by the Municipality of Asti under the artistic direction of Massimo Cotto, promises to be unforgettable, with a calendar of top-notch artists who will perform live in the new location, which welcomes more audiences than previous editions.
Astimusica, in collaboration with Politeama Srl(Palco19 Asti) and Audere Eventi, once again confirms itself as a festival capable of intercepting current trends and the tastes of multiple generations.
It represents aunique opportunity to experience evenings of great music and fun in a historic and picturesque setting such as Alfieri Square!
Mr.Rain
Mr.Rain on July 15 will captivate the Asti audience with his unique style and engaging performance.
Mattia Balardi, known as Mr. Rain, was born Nov. 19, 1991, in Desenzano del Garda, but grew up in Carpenedolo.
Passionate about music from an early age thanks to his mother, also a musician, he began playing piano and writing songs at age 18, choosing the stage name Mr. Rain because he could only express his emotions during rainy days.
In 2011 he debuted with the mixtape Time 2 Eat and in 2013 he participated in X Factor selections.
He embarked on his first tour in 2014 and released his first album Memories in 2015, with the hit single Carillon, certified double platinum.
Other hit singles include Superhero (2016) and The Great Never Cry (2017).
In 2018 he released the album Butterfly Effect, reissued as Butterfly Effect 2.0. Subsequent successes include The Sum (2019) and Flowers of Chernobyl (2020), contained in the album Petrichor. In 2021 he released the album Fragile.
His artistic reference is Eminem.
In 2023 he participated in the Sanremo Festival with the song Superheroes, finishing third.
In 2024 he returned to the Ariston with the song Two Swings, anticipating Miller’s fifth album Planet, released March 1.
