The brigand's treasure

For Halloween, the Castle of Monteu Roero opens its doors with a themed event of narrated© and guided tours designed for adults and families with children.

The initiative is organized by Turismo in Langa APS in collaboration with the Bel Monteu Association, which manages the castle, owned by Distilleria Berta.

A mysterious guide and an ancient document

Visitors will be led by a somewhat mysterious tour guide, convinced she has found an ancient document attributed to Francesco Delpero, the brigand who terrorized the Roero in the 19th century.

According to the document, the bandit hid his loot inside the castle, perhaps in the crutin, the evocative underground chamber.

But the rooms of the castle are not empty! A female presence that no one can explain wanders about: the Fairy Valentina, who enjoys playing tricks on those present. Who she really is, no one knows.

The audience is called upon to work with the guide: between clues to uncover and riddles to solve, children and adults will have to piece together Delpero’s ancient document.

The tour will end with the descent into the crutin, and the little helpers who lent a hand will receive a final prize.
