On Saturday, March 23, the opening of “The Breath of the Earth,” a solo exhibition by painter, Beppe Gallo, will be held in the Magdalene Choir.
The exhibition, organized by theDepartment of Culture, brings together some 20 works that tell the story of Langa landscapes and Gallo’s look at nature and its colors.
As critic Teresio Polastro writes, Beppe Gallo paints the vitality of these hills in an expressionistic mood.
The red-lit hills, snowscapes, and even more so the reflections on the river, rich in pictorial matter, in the equal exchange between banks and waters, are further enriched with an informal thrust
Beppe Gallo was born in Castagnole delle Lanze on July 19, 1942, and completed his studies at the Classical High School in Alba and exhibited his first works at the “Galeasso” Art Gallery.
