Roero

The name derives from the Roman family of Cornelii, owners of these lands: many objects and tombstones from the Roman period were found in the area.

The little town has a tall bell tower. Canale is famous for its peaches and wines. In the center of the town there’s the Roero Regional Wine Cellar.

The ancient town of Bra was founded when the nearby Pollenzo started its decadence, after the war in 402 between Alarico and Stilicone.
